It arrived alive, but it is a "second" instead of a healthy plant. It was
also marked "keep refrigerated" which is exactly what the Post Office did,
nearly killing it. Instead of being attached to the rock by its own roots,
it was held, lopsided, to the rock by a piece of moss wired to the rock.
I am an experienced orchid grower - not a beginner - and this plant was a
waste of hard-earned money, and a continuing frustration as I keep trying
to save it.

This particular volcanic mineral was produced during a 1955 eruption of Kilauea Volcano on the island of Hawaii. Each rock is unique and original and provides an excellent habitat for growing exotic plants.
Care Instructions: These are excellent plants for inside the home or office. They do well in bright, indirect light and are easy to care for. When you receive your Hawaiian Volcano plant place it in a small saucer. When your plant starts to become dry, pour water onto the rock until it becomes saturated, then empty the remaining water from the saucer. The lava will hold the water like a sponge, making an ideal growing medium for your plant. If you wish to fertilize your plant, use ? strength fertilizer as needed during the warmer growing season.
