(More customer reviews)After purchasing this ponytail palm last Christmas (2007), it arrived quickly and well packaged.Three individual palms were delivered in one rectangular container, in which I left them until spring.The palms are doing wonderfully (fall 2008) and thriving with very little attention required and a little light (I don't have them in direct light).
The palms are real conversation pieces and I would recommend them to anyone.Really easy to maintain!

The most striking feature of the Ponytail Palm is the swollen base of the trunk. The texture of the trunk looks and feels scaly like the foot of an elephant and is also known as Elephants Foot. The extraordinary thickening of the trunk serves as a water reservoir against dry spells, allowing the tree to go up to four (4) weeks without water and causing no ill effects. Excellent in low or higher lighting conditions. The Ponytail is an excellent choice for home, office or anywhere. Very easy indoor maintenance.
